Phase: Active Construction

Reported by: Christine Lord, Luxure Lifestyle

Site Summary

This week was defined by focused coordination, detailed design work, and the kind of behind-the-scenes progress that keeps a renovation of this scale moving with intention. With the majority of demolition behind us — floor removal remains carefully in progress throughout the residence — the team directed its energy toward finalizing the design decisions that unlock the next phase of construction. Multiple vendor meetings, a productive client design call, and active sourcing work made this one of the most productive coordination weeks of the project so far.

What's Happening

Flooring Demolition

Floor removal continues carefully throughout the residence. This phase takes the time it takes when done correctly, and the team is working methodically to ensure every substrate is properly prepared for the tile and flooring installations ahead. All other demolition throughout the unit is complete.

Wallpaper Consultation and Sourcing

Christine was joined on site this week by the wallpaper installer, who walked every area of the residence planned to receive wallpaper — room by room, surface by surface — to assess conditions and prepare a comprehensive installation quote for all areas. Parallel to that, Christine has been working on the sourcing side as well, identifying an alternative supplier that carries the same product lines at a more competitive price point. This kind of proactive sourcing is part of how the Luxure team protects the project budget without ever compromising the design.

Cabinet Design Session

Christine met with the cabinet designer this week for a full working session covering every room in the residence. Every drawing was reviewed against current field measurements and updated site conditions. Remaining design refinements were incorporated, and the drawings are now being finalized in preparation for submission to Fabuwood for production. This session was a critical milestone. Getting the drawings right at this stage protects the production timeline and ensures that what is built matches exactly what was designed.

Fabuwood Truffle Sample

The Fabuwood Allure Luna Truffle finish sample has been ordered and received by Christine. It will be sent to Elyse next week for her review alongside the currently confirmed Desert Oak finish. Once Elyse has had the opportunity to see both finishes in person, a final decision on the primary bath vanity color will be made and the order placed.
